You need to tell your daughter the truth. Ballet was invented in order to get women to spread their legs and feel validated for it. All kinds of artistic BS and rationalizations were added to justify it and hide that core fact. ALL olympians used to be required to perform totally nude. It's come a long way since then. Women have much more revealing clothes than men in these sports becuase humanity at large wants it that way - men want to see women's bodies. She needs to know the harsh reality of the situation and not have distortions from sugarcoating society.
