Working for God?
One true Christian —one single true Christ-follower — can do great damage to the Kingdom of Darkness. This is because we are made in the Image of God, and placed into SUBJECTION to Christ, with the life of God and power of the Holy Spirit… and AUTHORITY as a true Child of God… we partner with Jesus and the Holy Angels to MOVE SPIRITUAL MOUNTAINS.
One Christian obeying and responding to Father God, can: remove evil rulers, evil policies, evil laws, tyrants and wickedness. We battle IN THE SPIRIT. But to affect THIS EARTHLY REALM.
As Jesus prayed: “THY will, Father God, be done, on Earth, just exactly as it is in Heaven” (paraphrase). Establish righteous laws. Strong families. Integrity in business. A culture of obedience and gratitude towards God. And all the rest the Bible talks about.
Is it OUR power? Yes. Is it GOD’s power? Yes. When we subject ourselves to God, we can THEN resist the Devil and bring the VICTORY of Jesus over all evil applied and enforced to the situation on the Earth at hand each moment. God has INFUSED us with His life, His righteousness, His power… to do good as Father God wills. God’s power flows fully, freely, lavishly and graciously out from Him, through us, OUT into the world. And what that looks like is doing good works.
We seek to partner with God (as intimate allies, as family members, as soldiers in His Kingdom). We are humble and enter into the ONENESS with the Trinity that Jesus opened up for us. (It is all there in John 17, so please read that).
So, in the oneness, the ALIGNMENT with God, God’s power IS our power. Not ours to do as the flesh pleases, of course, but ours to declare and implement what God wills. We are loved but it is not about us. It is about Jesus and the Glory of God. We are offered the OPPORTUNITY and privilege to align with God, and thus be spiritually blessed (which may or may not include material / earthly blessings).
I’m saying we are supposed to USE the Righteousness that Christ gave us without our earning it.
“Father God made Him (Jesus) who experienced no sin, to be sin on our behalf (the crucifixion), so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21
“But by His (Father God’s) doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption…” — 1 Corinthians 1:30
I’m saying we have have been INFUSED with God’s strength, to work all righteousness on Earth. Strength to overcome all evil (Romans 12:21)
“I can do all this through him (Jesus) who infuses me with His strength.” — Philippians 4:13
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” — Ephesians 2:10
I’m saying we have been imbued with AUTHORITY, to take up that authority against spiritual strongholds, and take back territory for the Kingdom of God. I’m saying the POINT of our faith is to put it into action! Jesus has ALL authority, and Father God has placed us INTO Jesus. Jesus is WITH us and In us. Let Jesus flow through and out of us into this world. Doing as Jesus does. Being as Jesus is.
Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and PUT IT INTO PRACTICE.” — Luke 11:28
And Jesus came near and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:18–20
Pray and ask Father God specifically how you are to be ACTIVE for His Kingdom today.
Ephesians 2:1–10 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience. All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath.
But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us ALIVE WITH CHRIST even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! And God RAISED US UP WITH CHRIST AND SEATED US WITH HIM IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS IN CHRIST JESUS, in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
We are divinely enlivened. Divinely empowered. To be servants, vessels, beloved children and family members… in order to do GOOD works — to do GOD works out of our Faith-Alignment.
We are to be extensions of the will of Father God on Earth, ACTIVE in our faith, Active in our relationship. We are lifted up to the very Throne in Heaven, where we are spiritually seated with Christ (where ALL authority originates), is so we can be GOOD ON EARTH.
Not a morality or legalistic focus, but a Jesus focus, being RESPONSIVE to Father God, just as the life of Jesus showed/demonstrated for us looks like being RESPONSIVE to Father God. A spiritually dead person cannot be responsive to God.
The devil knows all this and is HORRIFIED of how a true believe can be a wrecking ball against His evil and dark Kingdom. You can partner with God, obedient to be a builder of God’s Kingdom of Righteousness, Faith and Love, even here in this Earth. He wants to keep you from BELIEVING and from ACTING ON who you truly are, in Christ. It is by our FAITH in God’s GRACIOUSNESS.
We are not “working for God” like some religious thing or self-improvement thing. Rather we are responding back to God’s grace with grateful obedience and all that we do is FROM God, in God’s power infused into us, from Oneness with God, from harmonious intimacy with God, from loving God back. We must first be filled with God — His life, His love, His power… in order to do anything truly good (Godly).
Jesus said: apart from Me, you can do nothing. (John 15) And also: but infused with my strength you can do all things! (Phillipans 4:13) Choose wisely and live wisely — IN the love, the grace, the power, the authority of Christ Jesus.
