Is God Good — really?

God is GOOD. Either you believe that or not. If God is good, his instructions are also good and for your good. We’re talking about the God of the Bible. If God is not truly good, then maybe he just enjoys bossing people around for no reason. Decide in your heart and live accordingly, with the attached consequences.

Only when you are convicted of the goodness and trustworthiness of God will you surrender to obey. Otherwise, you feel your own tiny perspective on things is more valid than God’s. Jesus comes back and what is written on Him is “Faithful and True.” (Revelation 19:11) If you believe, really believe and act and live like Jesus is indeed faithful and true, then you belong in the Kingdom of God. If not, you will not fit in God’s Kingdom.

Everything God does is in love, for your provision/blessing/protection… and for His glory. God seeks your maximum blessing… knowing all things, God knows that eternal maximum joy for you ONLY comes from obeying Him. As you obey Him, you love and glorify Him.

When all is said and done you either as joyful or ashamed as you have either glorified Him or not with your Earthly life. When you stand before Him, you realize to the core of your being that THIS is all that matters in life. How did your life reflect the core truth of the universe that God is good, is worth, and holy?

And while, God’s goodness expresses itself towards you in good instructions for your life, it is NOT all about you. It is about God being ACKNOWLEDGED for who He actually is.

To be truthful about God is to give God glory — faithful, true, worthy, holy and so much more. To live AS IF God is not worthy of your total devotion is distortion on your part. The enemy hates giving God any glory and will try to veil you from the radiant Glory of a Holy God.

There is a battle over your mind, for your soul. Your PURPOSE is to glorify God, by knowing Him, ENJOYING Him, and living in covenant obedience to Him. The immature mind will label this as “no fun” like a puppy trying to run in all directions at once, smell and eat everything, it is a bundle of reactions, of urges. We are called to be more than that. Out flesh gets stimulated by what the eyes see, by what we are conditioned by society to view as valuable. We either see beyond our own immediate seeming gratification, or we stay trapped, drained, and defrauded by the “Vanity Fair” of this world.

We are commanded to “Be still and know that God IS God.” (Psalm 46:10) We are here to align with truth, not every urge or thought or feeling that crosses our “path” so to speak. You cannot be still in your being if your flesh is chasing every seeming immediate gratification.

God calls you to “get real” and because He IS the core and ultimate reality. He calls you to connect with Him. To directly experience Him as He really is. As he commands, “taste and see that God is good!” (Psalm 34:8)

God is the good Father and his instructions are protection you from many destructions.

Choose to stand with the fiercely independent rebels and go where they go — away from all life, light, and goodness. Or choose to surrender and be broken to your stubborness and TRUST that God knows best and that is why He instructs all that He instructs. Don’t lie to yourself and pretend you can play in the middle of the road and not get flattened by a truck! Like a huge boulder crushing a person, the reality of you trying to rebel against core reality and fight the truth only ends you you being crushed.

Jesus Himself said: (Matthew 21:44)
“And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”

The “stone” is the rock that Jesus is the foundation of life — the Messiah (the anointed and worthy one). “Falling on the stone” is confessing that Jesus is Lord and Messiah and King and thus worthy to command your obedience. You become broken – dead to your old will and ways of living. But the stone falling on you, is you being a rebel and trying to live your own way in your own fake wisdom. In this fierce independence, the massive Truth that “Jesus is Lord” now falls on you, in judgement, crushing you because you only lied to yourself when you told yourself that you are good enough. Choose wisely.

God is not a tyrant; but God does not compromise on who He will have a relationship with. God has total clarity on just how good He is and how valuable and precious are all His relationships.

People have boundaries and standards for their relationships, but God has the MOST HIGH boundaries and standards. He does not get into covenant relationship with someone opposed to Him. His blessings are incompatible with rebellion. He will not share himself with devils and demons, or those who live in agreement with such darkness. The God of the Bible IS love itself, and He looks to see His own heart in those He calls Kingdom Members and Family Members. He will not share His intimate goodness (lovingkindness) with someone that does not trust, obey or align with His goodness.
