When someone is born with 6 fingers on a hand, we don't try to claim that "fingers are a spectrum" and re-engineer society around this; instead we acknowledge that people are have genetic degradations and thus being polydactyly results. Likewise, some babies are bown with literal HORNS coming out of their heads, most of which in the modern age are removed at birth, and thus most of society never knows. Or tiny tails. Or an extra vertebre in their neck. Or webbed fingers. The list of examples goes on. We do not try to rationalize this; we acknowledge that degradationin the genome is to blame. We do this to be connected to truth and reality, not to attack or shame the baby.
