First off, and serious modeling agency knows full well what hair and makeup can to do a person’s looks. Modeling agencies have all kinds of clients — conservative fashion catalogs, runway modeling, magazine editorial stories, print advertising, and so forth. A “high fashion” type client might want heavy makeup and avant-garde hairstyles and perhaps even an attitude leaning towards disdain, but a photo for a brand like “Old Navy” is joyful and exhuberant and more natural looking.

For this reason, talent agencies these days want to see a more “raw” photo of you without all the makeup tips/tricks. They need to see what they have to work with in you.
