The “and ye shall be as the gods, knowing good and evil” is referring to the ELOHEIM, the minor Gods. Literally the “little Gods”. The most high God tells us several times about the “thrones and power” and such. These are delegated authority. Adam and Even KNEW ABOUT and had seen these Eloheim. Otherwise, how could the Nakash appeal to Eve one the basis of becoming like one of these glorious and radiant creatures?

These Eloheim beings are extensions of God — little gods — his power and authority manifested throughout the universe. And 1/3 of them rebelled and fell. Then God created humanity is His own image — to be LIKE Himself. Not just a powerful servant being, but a Son / Daughter of the Most High. The rebel angels hated hearing that. Lucifer lusted after the glorious throne of God, and failed badly. But we, those created in God’s image, have the potential to sit on God’s own throne? Yes we do. God is on a mission: to restore us to connection with Himself, so he can restore the entire universe and the damage done by the angelic rebellion.

We are supposed to have the life of God, the person of Christ, living IN and THROUGH us. That means decreeing and declaring what is in the HEART of God — His will being doing here. It does not mean a selfish use of power. We do not use the spiritual authority God shares with us for OUR will being done. It is not about us. We are already saved.

We decree and declare according to the MISSION of the Messiah and God’s Kingdom. We decree and declare about the braking down of evil spiritual strongholds, about the healing and restoration of the humans made in God’s own image.

Isaiah 61 read by Jesus of Nazareth as recorded in Luke 4: (read the whole Isaiah 61 chapter)

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion —
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.

The Messiah was on a mission of RESTORATION, freedom and wholeness. We use our spiritual authority as Ambassadors of God’s Kingdom:

“We are therefore Christ’s authorized ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God! God made him who had no sin (Jesus) to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” — 2 Corinthians 5

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk!” And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. — Acts 3

Jesus’ mission was to PLEASE / GLORIFY His Father — Father God. He loved His father fully and perfectly. Listening to every word Father God said, and obeying. Doing as His Father did. Prioritizing as he saw His Father’s values and priorities.

Our mission is to do as we see Jesus doing. To be an intimate ally of Jesus. It is all ONE THING. There is no friction in Oneness.

Jesus earnestly praying to Father God says in John 17:22–24

“I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one — I in them and You in Me — that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me. Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.…”

We are to pray that Father God’s Holy Will be DONE on Earth, this day, THROUGH us.

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10

There are plenty of things we are told to DO in that prayer when you read the whole prayer. To forgive as God loves. To love as God loves. To avoid evil and seek God. To live mindfully that it is God who deserves all the power and authority.

We are thus good AS we live in SUBJECTION to the source — the Person — of Goodness Himself. We are to be the hands and feet (the action parts) of God, manifesting Himself, His Kingdom, His will THROUGH us.
In fact, there are many that Jesus intends to literally SIT WITH HIM on His own Throne.

Jesus says in Revelation 3:21 “To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

We are called to be ONE with God. One with the Trinity. To be “of the same mind as Christ”, a mind filled with loving service towards others (Philippians 2:5–11). We are called to GROW UP into the fulness of Christ Himself. (Ephesians 4:15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head.) We are destined to be JUST LIKE GOD: this is the Gospel. Just LIKE God. ONE WITH God. On God’s Throne. Filled FULL of God. Mature Sons/Daughters of the Most High. The righteousness of Christ BESTOWED upon us. Be exactly as PURE as Christ Himself is Pure, etc.

1 Jon 3:1–3 “Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be JUST LIKE Him, for we will see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure.”
